Nerdstudy wasn't a freelance project or an agency engagement — it was a company I co-founded and ran. I designed the production pipeline, built the team, and drove output to 5 minutes of animated content per day without sacrificing quality.
The hardest thing about educational animation at scale isn't making it look good — it's keeping it accurate, engaging, and consistent when you're producing five minutes of finished content every single day.

To hit five minutes of finished animation per day, I designed a 6-step production pipeline that separated academic accuracy from creative execution — each stage owned by a dedicated person with a clear handoff. This was systems thinking before I had a name for it.
STEP 01
Academic subject matter experts drafted and reviewed all scripts. No animation started until the content was verified accurate — a non-negotiable constraint that shaped everything downstream.
STEP 02
Visual translation of the script — turning dense academic content into a sequence that could be understood in motion. I led art direction and set the visual language for the whole studio.
STEP 03
Illustrators built character rigs and scene elements from the storyboard. A modular asset library meant animators weren't starting from scratch on every video.
STEP 04
Animators worked from the approved storyboard and asset library. The pipeline constraint: tight turnaround with no room to go back to step one. Quality had to be built in, not fixed at the end.
STEP 05
VO recorded and synced by a dedicated audio team. Pacing, delivery, and sound design aligned with the visual style — not an afterthought.
STEP 06
Final QA pass before publishing to YouTube and the Nerdstudy platform. The 77% average view duration proved the pipeline was producing content people actually watched.
Beyond the content, I co-designed and built the Nerdstudy web platform — front-end development in Laravel and Tailwind CSS. Student accounts, video delivery, progress tracking, and a classroom management system that let teachers digitally manage their students.
The classroom tool saw a significant usage spike during COVID. When schools closed, Nerdstudy was already built for exactly that scenario — structured online learning, without the chaos.
Go Strong was pure storytelling — no product demo, no feature list. I planned, directed, and produced it as organic marketing that captured the spirit of what we were building: a studio that believed students deserved better than dry academic content.
It wasn't part of the product. It was an argument for why the product mattered.
